Biography

James Coffey - Recording artist and music producer who's songs have been featured on over 200 children's videos including the popular "I Love Toy Trains" series and the "Lots & Lots Of Fire Trucks" series as well as dozens of CDs and hundreds of children's products sold worldwide. His songs have been licensed under such brand names as Disney, Nickelodeon, Scholastic, Encyclopedia Britannica and Sesame Street.

His own CDs have won dozens of national awards including Parents' Choice, NAPPA, Kids First and iParenting. He has been featured in publications such as Nick Jr., Chicago Tribune, LA Times and Sesame Street Parent Magazine. In 2003, the Wall Street Journal featured James in an exclusive half page article as a performer and songwriter.

Over the last 20 years, through his own production studio, James has also produced, arranged and recorded music for many of the top performing family artists working today with over 30 national awards won for those projects including multiple Parents' Choice, iParenting, Dove, Kids First and a Gold NAPPA.

James' background not only includes a long and varied musical career, but he holds a Bachelors of Music and a Masters in Educational Sciences from Indiana University where he specialized in orchestration, arranging, music theory, composition as well as jazz and classical piano where he earned awards in High Academic Achievement.
